The Debut Single
“Naggin’” didn’t begin in a Nashville writing room.
Arthur Black first wrote “Naggin’” roughly 25 years ago, inspired by an ordinary moment at home. Years later, that little piece of life became his debut record.
Because some arguments end.
The good ones become songs.
Origin
About 25 years ago, Arthur Black was cooking Hamburger Helper when his girlfriend at the time kept nagging him. Without trying to write a song, the first lyric simply came out.
That ordinary moment eventually became "Naggin'." More than two decades later, Arthur Black is finally bringing that story to life — on August 4, 2026, at Sweetwater Studios.
"I wasn't trying to write a song.
The first line just came out."
From Arthur's Journal
"Funny how one ordinary Saturday can stay with you for twenty-five years."

The Artist
Arthur Black is a modern country singer-songwriter whose music is built on one simple belief — the greatest songs come from everyday life. Raised in Nashville, Tennessee and writing since fifteen, he draws inspiration from Alan Jackson, Ray Charles, and Darius Rucker to shape songs rooted in honesty, warmth, and humor.
Independent by choice, Arthur is building a catalog of timeless songwriting and memorable characters — music that families revisit across generations because it still feels true.
